Grant Gustin has been cast as 'The Flash'!

We finally have our Barry Allen in Grant Gustin!

Well this is out of no where! Stephen Amell has just tweeted Glee star Grant Gustin has been cast as The Flash! Alot of fans assumed we wouldn't get an announcement until New York Comic-Con next month but we have our announcement today!

Most comic fans was hoping Matt Barr (Hatfields & Mccoys) would be The Flash since he is closer to the age of Stephen Amell but seems Glee's Grant Gustin blew them away...literally!

Here is his quotes with The Hollywood Reporter about getting the role:
"I’m unbelievably excited, I’ve been a lifelong fan of DC Comics, so I can’t be more honored and can’t wait to get started. "

Producer Andrew Kreisberg added:
"Part of the fun for the audience is to see how we view our Arrow take on the Flash legacy," Some of it will feel very familiar to DC Comics, some of it hopefully will feel different, fresh and exciting. The same way we approached Arrow is the same way we're approaching Barry. There will be extraordinary events in the world and the characters will react in the same way"
:: The Flash Description ::
Barry Allen is described as being a Central City assistant police forensic investigator who comes to Starling City to look into a series of unexplained robberies which he believes may be connected to his tragic past. As a comic book fanboy, Allen is apparently obsessed with Arrow and ends up working with Oliver and Felicity before crossing paths with the vigilante.
Arrow returns this Fall!
