Zoinks Scoob! Warner Bros' Developing New SCOOBY-DOO Feature Film

Via Variety

I love Scooby-Doo, ever since I was a little pup, I loved watching that damn dog and his gang bust baddies and goons. As a huge fan of Scooby-Doo, I am happy to say, Warner Bros' pictures have finally got their sh*t together. We're getting another Scooby-Doo movie! After what feels like forever, we will finally see the gang reunite on the big screen. Now there is no word on if this film will be a sequel to the original two, or if this will be a 'reboot' so to speak. Variety broke the news earlier today, and I am jubilant. This is probably the second best Warner Bros' related news over the last 2 months. This announcement defeats Batman Vs. Superman. Variety also reports that the film will be animated, which means no real-life people. This was one of the problems many had with the original two Scooby-Doo film. Now with this film being animated, we can finally get some decent actors providing their voice for the roles? How about, Armie Hammer for Fred? Andrew Garfield for Shaggy? Aubrey Plaza for Velma? Come on! You know you'd watch that! You can read the full statement on Variety, but here's an excerpt.
The studio is developing an animated Scooby-Doo feature film, returning to the franchise that produced a pair of live-action/animated hybrid films a decade ago. The project has been set up with Atlas Entertainment with Charles Roven and Richard Suckle producing. The studio has tapped Matt Lieberman to write the script for the new project. Warner Bros. is keeping the log line under wraps.
With no release date in sight (as of now), are you looking forward to this new instalment in the iconic Scooby-Doo franchise? I know I am, see you at midnight!
