EDITORIAL: "What If" Billy Zane was cast as 'Lex Luthor' ?!

Another segment of Superhero Movies News "What If" featuring Billy Zane as Lex Luthor!

There are way to many rumors floating around tat Bryan Cranston of AMC's Breaking Bad has been cast as Lex Luthor in the upcoming 'Batman vs Superman'. This is the furthest from the truth. As far as anyone knows he is on the shortlist but by no means cast. Also, on the shortlist is Green Lantern's Mark Strong. So don't believe the rumor that he has been officially cast to some 10 picture deal...

That being said he would actually make a pretty amazing Lex if it came to pass. On the other hand Cranston actually resembles more of a Jim Gordon then Lex Luthor. Funny....he voiced Jim Gordon in the animated feature Batman: Year One!

This leaves Mark Strong. Who we saw as almost perfect Sinestro in Green Lantern and Crime lord Frank D'micco in Kick-Ass. DC still has to decided if Green Lantern is canon to Man of Steel Universe or its own thing like the Nolan-Universe.

This leaves another fan favorite Billy Zane (Titanic) in the role of Lex Luthor! if DC went the route of casting Zane as Lex this could leave the door open to getting all three great actors! Cranston as Jim Gordon (Obviously just a cameo in Batman vs Superman until the solo films). Strong would stay on as the evil Sinestro with his Sinestro Corps coming into play in future installments!

Here is a fan-made photo of Billy Zane as Lex Luthor on the cover of Time Magazine with the "Person of the Year" award:
(If this doesnt sell you, I dont know what will!)

Thoughts?! Post below!!!

Batman vs Superman will be in theaters July 2015
