Bradley Cooper Officially Cast as 'Rocket Raccoon'

Oscar Award Nominee Bradley Cooper has been cast in Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy!

Today via the Marvel Website it has been confirmed that The Hangover and Silver linings Playbook star Bradley Cooper will be lending his voice as Rocket Raccoon in 'Guardians of the Galaxy'! Give thanks to @elmayimbe of Latino-Review who dropped the scoop a week ago.

:: Press Release ::
Academy Award-nominated actor Bradley Cooper has officially joined the cast of Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy," lending his voice to the fan-favorite raccoon that will join Peter Quill, Gamora and Drax on their epic adventure to defeat a cosmic force of epic proportions. Cooper has previously starred in "Silver Linings Playbook," for which he was nominated for an Oscar®, "Limitless," "Place Beyond the Pines" and the "Hangover" trilogy, the latter of which has grossed $1.4 billion globally. He will next be seen in "American Hustle" which will reunite him with "Silver Linings Playbook" director David O. Russell. "Guardians" will mark Cooper's first voiceover work.
Some might find this upsetting since Rocket has typically depicted in the cartoons having a British or Australian accent but most of us are ok with this casting decision!  He and Vin Diesel will be the heart and soul of film both playing CGI characters Rocket and Groot. He joins Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista and Zoe Saldana.

Guardians of the Galaxy debuts next August!
