ASSASSIN'S CREED Receiving A Rewrite From THE WOLVERINE Co-Writer

Scott Frank was of the writers of this year's The Wolverine. The writer is known for his wide range. Frank is set to rewrite the upcoming 2015 release, Assassin's Creed, the upcoming film will be based on the Ubisoft video game of the same name, the film will also star X-Men co-star, Michael Fassbender. The film is set to enter production some time next year, but at the moment it seems the film is back to the drawing board. Frank discussed the film in some detail in a quote below. Frank says:
"Part of what was so attractive of doing The Wolverine, outside of working with Jim, was the idea that I’ve never done a movie like this before. I’m rewriting Assassin’s Creed right now, and what I love about it is that I’ve never adapted a video game before and it has its own set of challenges. Especially in the world of rewrites, I love trying to do something completely different if I can"
The upcoming video game adaption does not have a set release date, but is rumoured to be released sometime 2015. Knowing Hollywood, this film would most likely get pushed back to 2016. Personally, that would be a very smart move as only one huge movie is currently planned for 2016 (that being The Amazing Spider-Man 3). Are you looking forward to Assassin's Creed
