'The Avengers: Age of Ultron' Release Date to be Pushed Back?

Will Disney push The Avengers 2 release date back for Star Wars: Episode VII ?

Almost a year ago it was confirmed that Marvel (Then Untitled) Avengers 2 film was scheduled for a May 1st, 2015 theatrical release date. Well this was before Star Wars and Lucasfilm was sold to Disney for $4 billion dollars. It was also revealed that the new Star Wars film would also be released in 2015 alongside Marvels Avengers sequel.

During the San Diego Comic-Con Disney released brand new title cards for all its Marvel Phase 2 films all with there official theatrical release dates.....beside The Avengers. When The Avengers 2 title card was released and renamed The Avengers: Age of Ultron it simply said "Summer 2015" even though a year ago it was confirmed for May 1st, 2015.

Well thats odd now isn't it? Now just today it was revealed that Star Wars: Episode VII begins filming next month in August 2013. This will be well before The Avengers: Age of Ultron production starts which is sometime early 2014.

With filming for the highly anticipated Star Wars being fast tracked before Avengers the dates for the release may be switch. Star Wars will start filming first thus it will be released first.

Only time will tell maybe expect a date switch at Disney D23 event in a few weeks...

Star Wars: Episode VII and Marvel The Avengers: Age of Ultron hit Summer 2015
